Within our Kansas ecosystem, we see a healthy combination of innovation and collaboration and believe that’s what it takes to bring success to our community and mission partners.
Projects like the recently announced U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program with Sierra Nevada Corporation and the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) continue to keep Wichita and the state of Kansas on the leading edge of innovation while supporting our Mission Partner’s critical needs. Approximately 400 Wichita State students and staff are expected to take on the project making it one of the most significant industry contracts in the university’s history.
Keep in mind that capabilities like this do not spring up overnight. They may take years or decades even to develop and refine. Being able to lean on the Digital Twin and Advanced Manufacturing skills at NIAR will enable SNC to deliver a more robust product to the government.
